The term “neutral pastel makeup” is not an oxymoron.

While pastel colors are reminiscent of Easter and spring, you can apply subtle pastel shades to your eyes, cheeks, and lips using eye shadows, lipsticks, and blushes.

For golden-toned skin, choose pastel colors like peach, pink, and sea-foam green that flatter your yellow and golden undertones best.

Green

When worn as an eye shadow color, sea-foam or mint green is a pastel that complements golden-toned skin beautifully. To wear this vibrant color on your eyes, start with green as the base color.

Add a swipe of gold shadow in the crease to contrast the green shade. To keep the hue from looking too child-like or juvenile, apply a sheer wash over the eyelid to lower the intensity of the bright color

. Balance the bold eye with a nude lip and flesh-toned nail polish. If you have brown eyes, line them with dark brown eyeliner to complement the green color on your eyes.

Nude/Peach

For a woman with gold tones, warm and golden hues complement your skin beautifully. If you are wearing a chocolate, peach, and beige eye shadow combination for the day, balance these eye colors with a nude or creamy peach lipstick.

Start with a warm base color like peach on your eyes. Swipe a dark chocolate eye color in the crease for definition. Add a touch of gold eyeliner for the evening.

Combine with the peach eye shadow, the gold and chocolate combination will make your eyes pop. Finish the look with a creamy nude or peach lipstick.

Pink/Lavender

Adding lavender or pink lip, cheek, and eye color isn’t difficult if you know how to accent your features with these pastel colors. Swipe a lavender eye shadow all over from the brow bone down.

Add a light beige shade under the brow bone for definition. Complete the look with a nude lip in a peach or pink shade. A creamy pink lipstick highlights golden skin and complements a green eye shadow on the eyes.

If you want to try one pastel makeup color for spring, choose a pink blush for your cheeks or a lavender-tinted gloss for your lips.
